At first, somebody in our class started puting my things into Anne's bag.So i hated Anne. Serena hated Hema coz whenever Serena kick Hema, Hema will stare at her.Hema also hated her la. ok i know its late but i just came back from a very long holiday. went to lots of places like perth, subiaco, rottnest island, fremantle and some place called swan valley. when i stepped out of the airport, i only then realised that singapore is super hot and the places that i visited were like 10 degrees cel. omg right? yeah, the food was great! i love witches cauldron, nandos, jap and bradleys. wish i could go to all these places again! my parents said that they wanna retire in perth, so in that periodof time i might be staying there too. thats good and bad... but thats in a lot more years time. and i am so gonna miss ber... kk its like 11:20 + -. so, happy hols. and if you dun mind and you please leave your address as a comment cuz i wanna mail christmas cards.kk.

Yes, it's the holidays! And it's our well-deserved break! Well, do seize the opportunity to rest well, play hard and not forgetting to work hard to catch up on your work as well. :)

Time flies and one academic year passed in a twinkling of an eye. We shared so much fun, stress (and not forgetting the scoldings) together. I am going to miss everyone, and especially those who would be leaving us this holidays. Hope to keep in touch ya? Thank all of you so much for the beautiful memories. These memories would be deeply etched in my mind. (Now, that sounds very familiar... Hmm... ) :p

And Nastasha, it's really sweet of you to make a little something for everyone. Thank you very much for my little card, I love it and will keep it well.

well its the end of the year already... time pasts so fast. gonna miss you guys and we might not even be in the same class next year. :( that is why i made a little surprise for all of you including miss lim and its hand made! since claire is not in singapore i didnt make one for her. i think i will give them out on thursday or friday. thursday cause a lot of people might not be going to school on friday as it is the last day of school and friday hmmmm i think there would not have time to give them out. kk, set i will give them out on thursday! anyway,hope all of you are looking forward to the holidays like i am. but i am also sad cause we would only see each other next year, and some of us would not even be in kellock anymore... :( i think i have typed enough already.

i suspect a theif in our class. my moral education,chinese text books and a box of high lighters went missing yesterday. and today i already got a scolding from my chinese teacher for not having my book. there is moral education tomorrow, i hope mr on does not come to school if not he will get very furious. well, who ever stole my things does not have a thought for others. :( it is just so sad. i wish i brought it home yesterday. so it would not have gone missing. i checked everywhere under my table, in my bags, in my empty locker and at home. not there! i was worried at first then angry and then sad. my grandmother use to tell me to bring home my books everyday, but i did not listen because i thought it was troublesome. as chinese say
:"bu ting lao ren yan qin kui zai yan qian." if i am not wrong. i really regret it. :( but too late for regrets. i think i got to go. if you are the one who took my things can you please own up... i really need my things if not i will get into deep trouble.

"Yuck! This bus stinks!" my friend, Krystie, exclaimed. She pinched her nose with two fingers and made a disgusted face. Both of us were taking Bus 152 for the first time. The bus was hot, smelly and very, very stuffy. It was packed with people, who were doing different activities. Some chose to doze off, others flipping through magazines and newspapers. We were eagor to get home to take a nice, cool bath. Krystie found a seat, but I was left standing. It was a very jerky ride as we were riding on a unpaved road.

Suddenly, we heard the screech of brakes, followed by a thunderous crashing sound. Many of us screamed in surprise as we were thrown off balance. Everyone was trying to get out of the bus. Some astonished passers-by stood rooted to the spot, unable to think. Others whipped out cell-phones and called the ambulance and police. The terror did not stop there. The bus gave a final lurch forward and its windscreen shattered to peices. To my horror, I saw Krystie being thrown out of the bus. She gave a shriek of terror. Her body curved in a graceful arc and almost as if in slow motion, she touched the ground and lay there, motionless. The rest of them who were thrown off the bus made it an awful sight to watch outside. People lay lifelessly on the ground with bones potruding out and many ended up with a broken arm or leg.
Soon, the wailing of sirens became audible. The paramedics rushed out to attend to our wounds. With a stab, I realised that I had fractured my arm. Everyone was rushed to the hospital. The next day, I found out that the bus driver had carelessly collided with a lorry. I also found out that Krystie had been badly injured and in the hospital's High-Dependancy Ward. She did not have much chance on surviving. I was overjoyed when my parents came to visit.
This experience would be etched in my memory forever.

"Class dismissed"announced our form teacher,Miss Shao,as she glanced at the clock.My friends and I came rushing out of the door,hoping to catch the bus.While I waited for the bus to arrive,I played games and chatted on my phone.Soon the bus arrived and I entered it.
The bus was stuffy and crowded with people.Some passengers were snoring away and some were flipping through newspapers and magazines.I could not find a seat so I had to stand.The bus driver was talking away on his handphone when he caught sight of a pedestrian crossing the road.He swerved with all his might to avoid hitting the pedestrian but unfortunately did not manage to avoid a lorry passing by.There was a loud screeching of brakes followed by a loud crashing sound.The bus had collided into the lorry!Everyone was thrown off balance and the windscreen of the bus was shattered.Some people were injured and children were crying.I fractured my arm but was not badly injured.I stared at the poor bus driver,lying there with blood oozing out from his forehead.I plucked up my courage and tried to move my arm before calling for the ambulance and the police.
Soon,the sirens of the ambulance and the police could be heard from afar.Within minutes,they arrived.Hurriedly, the paramedics gave aid to the injured.The bus driver was sentenced to three years' imprisonment for careless driving.From then on,travelling on a bus brought back painful memories for me.As for the bus driver,he learnt his lesson and vowed not to make the same mistake again.

Dear darlings,

A lot of you have posted on how poor your grades are and how much you want to do to improve your grades. As such, I have come up with a few ways you can try out and I hope some of the methods mentioned are of good use to you.

• Look at your work assignments to see exactly how and why you are performing badly.
• Identify your weak points. Did your grades suffer because of careless grammar or poor writing habits? If so, be more mindful of grammar and structure during the final exams.
  

• Visit the teacher and ask her to go over your work with you.
  
• Ask her what you could have done differently.
  

• Get help early.
  
• The later you start, the worse it will be because your doubts just accumulates.

• Ask for advice from the teacher.
  
• Teachers can direct you to resources that are topic-specific.

• Get serious. Put all your energy into the final test or project.
• Don't be late to class. Get some sleep. Turn off the TV.

• Talk to your parents and get them involved in your work.
• It is always good to let your parents know what goes on in school and by understanding what you are facing, they will be in better positions to help you solve your problems.

Above are only a few suggestions. You reap what you sow. We cannot expect good grades to fall from the sky so we should not just keep saying we want good grades and do nothing. We HAVE to DO something. So girls, do not procrastinate, start now! I, Miss Lim, will always be here. I am not afraid of your questions. I am just afraid you don't question. Press on!

If you do feel bored at home, you can spend some time to read or try out new things like picking up a hobby! For example, you can learn cycling, blading or even martial arts! :p

Alternatively, you can spend time with your family members like your siblings, parents and even grandparents. Bring them out for a walk at the park/playground or go shop for a movie and watch it with them.

Or you can even try some simple cooking at home. For example, you can try making sandwiches for your family (remember canape making? Now you can put your skills learnt to good use!).

It is a sad time. Just now, I went to a website to learn about hamster care.
There was a link that said Rainbow Bridge. I went to it and there was a paragraph that said all dead pets would go there. This is what it said:

OMG!

So scary... After our CCAs Valere, Berlin, Anthea, Alethea, Halimah and I went to help Miss Lim
pack the children for children gifts. It was like 3.20 p.m. We packed until 3.30p.m. then Berlin left. Miss Lim asked Anthea to go and see if buses were still there. When she came back, she said that most of the buses left already that includes Valere's and hers too! I was shocked so i ran to the carpark and i saw my bus, it was about to leave. Like OMG right?

Miss Lim you are so kind to people when they are good... I appreciate your kind deed ! But I am discouraged by some of my friends because my "Maths" is not so good so when I get into Band 3 class which is Orchid but I can't stand it She teaches so slowly >> I wanted to learn more and faster but you said when you were in primary school you always failed for your maths but when you got into sec. 1 you got top for the class I don't think I can be that smart...hmm...I am very sad that my maths results is very bad...<< I wish someone can help me with this problem...I wish I could !

Trapped in the Lift

Have you ever been trapped in a lift with your screaming sister? Well, I have. It happened one fine morning when my older sister, Natania, and I were walking to the lift. Natania was sending some messages using her handphone to her friends. When we entered the lift, it shuddered a little. Natania, who had finished sending messages to her friends, said she suspected something was amiss.

Ignoring her, I pressed the button to get to the first floor. The lift door closed and moved downwards. However when it was midway down, the lift jolted to a stop. Natania screamed hysterically for help. Hurriedly, I pressed the emergency button. A loud ringing sound followed. The lights in the lift flickered and then went off. The lift was plunged into darkness. I panicked and pressed all the other buttons furiously but in vain. I became terrified and Natania started crying uncontrollably.

After a while, Natania regained composure and decided to try to use her handphone to call her parents. Sadly, there was no reception in the lift. I did not give up and continued pressing the emergency button. Finally, a passerby heard the alarm. He quickly called the lift repairman.

A few minutes later, the lift repairman arrived. He prised the door open with his tools. We heaved a sigh of relief as the doors opened. We had to slowly crawl out of the lift. Natania telephoned our parents and told them about the incident. They asked us if we were all right. Natania told them that we were fine. We thanked the passerby and the lift repairman profusely for their help. We then quickly boarded a public bus and reached school just in time for our last two lessons. We explained why we were late to the principal, Mrs Tan. She forgave us for coming late. This incident would be etched in my memory forever.

Trapped in the Lift

"Come on,we are going to be late!" I told my younger sister, Nichole. We took our schoolbags and bade our mother goodbye.

When we arrived at the lift lobby, I pressed the button for the lift. When the lift arrived and the lift door opened, we walked in. Then, I pressed the button to get to the ground-floor. The lift started moving down. All of a sudden, the lights in the lift flickered and the lift stopped on its way down from the twenty-forth storey. I pressed every button furiously but to no avail. The only thing that happened was that the lights went off and the lift became pitch black. My sister started to scream hysterically as she tugged at my uniform. I pressed the emergency button immediately and luckily, a passerby, Mrs Chua, heard the alarm. She called for the lift repairman.

Time seemed to came to a standstill while we waited for help to arrive. Nichole became terrified and started crying uncontrollably. I comforted her patiently and she stopped crying. Just then, we heard a small voice say, "Don't worry, children, I will get you out." We knew it was the repairman. Upon hearing the voice, I heaved a sigh of relief.

As the repairman prised open the lift door, we got out and thanked the repairman. We went down from the other lift and went to school quickly after that. I will definitely never forget this nerve-wrecking ordeal.
